Expense Lens Privacy Policy

Overview

Expense Lens is designed to organize receipt and expense records on your device. The app does not require an account and does not operate a backend service for receipt processing.

Data Stored on Your Device

When you scan, import, or enter a receipt, Expense Lens may store receipt images, merchant names, dates, totals, tax amounts, categories, notes, and OCR text locally on your device.

Data Collection

Expense Lens does not collect personal data, does not use third-party analytics, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not sell data.

Camera and Photo Access

Camera access is used only when you choose to scan receipts. Photo library access is used only when you choose to import receipt images. OCR is performed on device using Apple frameworks.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Expense Lens receives entitlement status from StoreKit but does not receive your payment card details.

Deleting Data

You can delete individual receipts inside the app, delete all receipts from Settings, or remove all app data by deleting Expense Lens from your device.
